published the first in a series of articles by Joseph Epstein, the eminent cultural
commentator and former editor of American Scholar complaining about Dr
Jill Biden’s use of the honorific Dr title even though she does have a PhD in
Education.
The WSJ has
found it necessary, at this time in America, to have Mr Epstein opine about the
excessive use of the honorific Dr being used by a non-medical individual, Dr
Jill Biden. Mr Epstein, in his infinite
wisdom, takes this subject very seriously and will devote his future columns in

Mr Epstein,
not a Dr himself, has displayed his incredible finely tuned ear to American
