In a
statement released at midnight, climate change deniers, Donald Trump and Texas Governor
Abbott declared that in their opinions, all of the climate scientists
predicting unprecedented flooding in the Houston area are spreading Fake News
meant to destroy the American economy.
In 2015, Gov. Abbott
joined 15 other governors in rejecting the conclusion of 97 percent of climate
scientists: that climate change is real and caused by human activities and, despite 60
federal disaster declarations in Texas since 2011, Gov. Abbott has continually questioned
the science of climate change.
Trump plans
to tour south Texas with Abbott on Tuesday to prove once and for all that 97%
of climate scientists are pushing Fake Science to the Fake News outlets such as
NYT and CNN.
