WikiLeekZ Yearns for the Good Old
Days...When a Scandal was Just a Scandal
WikiLeekZ makes a plea for the good old
days...when political scandals were fairly innocent and harmless and they came
along once in a Blue Moon.
You know, like
Janet Jackson and the wardrobe malfunction which caused an outrage across
America, and Congress. Or, drunken Congressman Wilbur Mills, who crashed his car
while driving with the Argentine stripper Fannie Foxe...who jumped out of the
car with the DC police in hot pursuit. WikiLeekZ yearns for those kind of
scandals.
Or even Anthony Weiner and his
photos that he sent to strange young women. That's sorta harmless, right? I'd
even take theClinton/Lewinsky scandal in comparison to this marathon deluge of
lies and unsavory...even dangerous connections to Russia. The Republicans
impeached President Clinton for getting blow jobs in his office, for god sake!
Let's have some
proportionality!
Russian interference in our
democratic society? That's much more than a scandal! Putin's Puppets in
TrumpWorld are making a mockery of more than 200 years of our democratic
society. Putin and TrumpWorld are building a foundation for the disintegration
of our democracy. "The destruction of the administrative state", as Steve Bannon
so eloquently puts it.
In the not-so-distant
past, Republicans would and did Howl, they would invoke God Almighty against the
godless Russians. They would find a Fellow Traveler behind every shrub on a
college campus or in Hollywood. But now, they meekly accept the most egregious
lies and deceptions put forth by TrumpWorld in an effort to retain their power
and position. Have they no decency?
Bring back
the innocent, bucolic days of simple sex
scandals!
